As some of you may be aware, there have been coordinated attempts by unauthorized third parties to access MLS servers in various parts of the country.
We want to reassure you that Flexmls databases and systems were NOT compromised. However, these incidents serve as an important reminder for all realMLS users to remain vigilant and follow strong cybersecurity practices.
Important Password Reset Notice
As a proactive step to help secure your account, all Flexmls users are being asked to reset their passwords.

If you have already updated your password after 7 PM ET on July 25, 2025, no further action is needed.

If you have not logged in since that time, you may be prompted to change your password when you log in.

If you are not prompted, please click the “Forgot Password” link on the login screen to initiate a password reset manually.
This reset is in response to a rise in login activity involving credentials used by unauthorized individuals. To be clear, this is not due to a breach of the Flexmls system.
How You Can Help Protect MLS Data
Here are a few simple ways to help secure the data you and your customers rely on:

Change your realMLS (Flexmls) password regularly

Do not save your MLS password in your browser—even on personal devices

Do not share your MLS login credentials—this includes assistants and team members

Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in Flexmls for added account protection
What realMLS Is Doing to Enhance System Security

Password changes will be required every 3 months beginning August 1, 2025

MFA will be required for any users flagged for suspicious login activity (e.g., access attempts from widely varying locations)
