Don’t Panic! It’s Just a Data Integrity Notice
Even the most careful agents may occasionally receive a data integrity notice. The name can sound scary, however a data integrity notice is meant to serve as a notification that a correction may be needed which helps ensure the listing data is accurate and timely.
Most violations require corrective action on the listing, but some require a response for clarification. This is why it is extremely important to lookout for emails from realMLS Data Integrity. They may have a heading of 1st Notice, 2nd Notice, or even Courtesy notice. Your response can make the difference between quickly clarifying and resolving the notice or receiving a fine violation.
A few quick tips
• Verify that your flexmls profile has your most up-to-date contact information
• Check your junk folder daily for any potential misdirected emails
• Read your Data Integrity notice thoroughly. All the details from the rule description, to how to correct the violation will be in the notice.
