Reminder: realMLS Data Integrity Policies

As a reminder to all realMLS participants, two important data integrity policies went into effect on August 17, 2024: the Written Buyer Agreement Requirements and the Offers of Compensation Prohibited in MLS. These rules are essential in maintaining a professional, transparent, and reliable MLS environment for everyone.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Written Buyer Agreement Requirement – All MLS Participants working with a buyer must enter into a written agreement with the buyer prior to touring a home. See section 5.0.1 of the Rules and Regulations for further information.
  • Offers of Compensation Prohibited in MLS – Offering compensation in the MLS or any MLS platform will result in a significant immediate fine to the listing agent. If not removed within 24 hours, the broker will also incur a fine.
